An older product gets BETTER with age: Apple's Bluetooth Aluminum keyboard (firmware update) - deckeda - 01-31-2010

[quote - via Software Update Apple]This firmware update improves battery performance of the 2007 aluminum Apple Wireless Keyboard when used in combination with other bluetooth devices (eg. Magic Mouse, some bluetooth headsets) and addresses an issue with the 2007 aluminum Apple Keyboard and the 2007 aluminum Apple Wireless Keyboard where a key may repeat unexpectedly while typing. The update also addresses other issues.

Subject line is VERY subjective . . . - WHiiP - 01-31-2010

The firmware update is not being universally hailed as a good thing. Some users are reporting that the "fix" doesn't work. I can't get my update to install . . . and now I'm thinking that might be OK.

Look before you leap! :ohsnap:

Is that the "shorty" keyboard without the number pad (maybe that's the only bluetooth keyboard...dunno).

Yeah, that's the Shorty.

I haven't seen the update in Software Update.

I did the update today.

Didn't notice any difference good or bad.
