This is not a real YellowTop®, is it? - space-time - 02-22-2010 http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product__2130010-P_2916_R|GRPBATTAM2____ The YellowTop® seems to be a registered trademark for those Optima batteries, but this is NOT an Optima battery. In fact I am not even sure it is dual purpose, it does not say anywhere on the battery. Anyway, I think this is false advertising, but I got one anyway since they had a deal where I should get $40 back (in fact a coupon), which makes the net cost very reasonable. Re: This is not a real YellowTop®, is it? - deckeda - 02-22-2010 Another Yellow Top sighting? (or maybe just a typo on Advance Auto's part) Re: This is not a real YellowTop®, is it? - space-time - 02-22-2010 no, not that one, this one ![]() Re: This is not a real YellowTop®, is it? - Black - 02-22-2010 If you can find a new Optima Yellow Top for $95, please post a RYF-- been wanting one forever. Re: This is not a real YellowTop®, is it? - lafinfil - 02-22-2010 AAP like accidentally used Yellow Top in their headline (to accidently get search hits) Not a real Optima at all. Googling around shows that AAP batteries are made by Excide and/or Johnson Control Re: This is not a real YellowTop®, is it? - Black - 02-22-2010 Mini 9 wrote: Maybe you need to plan your time better. Try this: 9 AM to 12 PM-- start threads 1 PM to 3 PM-- read threads other people started 3 PM to midnight- start threads. Once you're used to that two hour stretch of not starting threads, try to expand it by an hour or two each week. |
