"Defacto standard" would have been better. That said, Flash is no less a "standard" than Apple HTML5 implementation.

Isn't Steve cutting off his nose.....etc etc....What is his problem with Flash? It is a pain not to have it on the mac. Would an online WIRED article answer my questions?

He just doesn't support it on the iP* devices. Some have said it has to do with user experience, but actions they put into place yesterday don't align with that.

First, Flash is not a standard. It's a proprietary plug-in.

Second, Apple isn't attacking Adobe. It's promoting an open web.

Kinda odd your mix of comments there. With Apple's implementation of HTML5, they're promoting a proprietary format.
