OS 10.6.3v1.1- How do you know? - celliott - 04-13-2010
So I downloaded and installed the 10.6.3v1.1 updater that was released tonight. After the restart I went to the About This Mac drop down. All it says is Version 10.6.3. That's what it said before the updater. How can you tell if a Mac has the 10.6.3v1.1 applied? Is there anything to verify or indicate the update? Just wondering.

For some Macs that got 10.6.3, they didn't get everything intended. Scroll all the way down to where it says Additional Information: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4014

Tip: If you don't see the Mac OS X v10.6.3 Supplemental Update in Software Update, you don't need to install it.
Note: The Supplemental Update is for any system that was updated from Mac OS X v10.6 using the Mac OS X Update Combined v10.6.3, build 10D573. It is not needed on systems that were updated from Mac OS X v10.6.1 or 10.6.2, and it is not needed on systems that were updated from Mac OS X v10.6 using the Mac OS X Update Combined v10.6.3, v1.1.

Go to the About This Mac window and click the OS version. It will change to display the build.
The build for the release version of 10.6.3 is 10D573.
What build does it show on your computer?

My build is 10D578. Thanks for the tip, I forgot that one.
