This is not an apples to apples comparison but if you look at the images, you can see that even the more densely packed 18mp looks useable at ISO 12800. The 18mp at ISO 3200 looks really good compared to the 6mp ISO 3200. If the same technology was applied to the 6mp chip it might look better because it is less dense but that isn't how marketing/technology works. You also get a more advanced AF sensor array with the T2i even though it is entry level.

your links to the sample images don't link to the image you want, just to the slideshow.

I HATE flash slide shows. My apologies.

Yep, definitely not an apples to apples comparison. The 10D is a seven year old camera.

I think the T2i images look pretty good though, at least in terms of noise. Maybe I'm nuts but I think the T2i images look better than images from the 7D. The only negative is what I'm seeing from the T2i doesn't look very sharp (but the same could be said of the 7D).

That is what I am saying, if the current technology was applied to the 6mp chip, then it could look really good, probably better than the 18mp. SInce the 18mp chip has all the advantages of technological improvements, it can still look pretty good.
