wrinkles in my carpet - Mr Downtown - 04-14-2010 I had carpet put in my apartment before I moved in five years ago, and now it's developed modest wrinkles (or bubbles) in one direction. Because that stretch flows out into a hallway, the total wall-to-wall between grabber strips is about 25 feet. What do I do? Re: wrinkles in my carpet - JEBB - 04-14-2010 I had that problem some years ago in some rooms from which I had removed most of the furniture during painting. I got an installer to restretch the rug; he was not the one who had originally installed the rug. The original installer used what might be called a knee-kicker; the second used a stretcher that had braces that went from wall to wall. The latter system was much more effective.
