Obscure Pro-tip of the day: Photoshop CS4, OpenGL and multiple video cards - mikebw - 04-14-2010 Say you want to run Photoshop CS4 on a Mac Pro with a Radeon 4870 and a nVidia GT120 installed, and you want to make use of the cool OpenGL features like screen rotation and smooth zooming, but for some reason Photoshop does not recognize either video card as being suitable for OpenGL use! What to do? Well it appears that the GT120 is not officially supported by Adobe for this purpose, and even though the Radeon 4870 is if you have them both installed neither will be recognized. So, what you need to do is download a plug-in from Adobe that is designed to allow old GPU's to be used. http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4051 Here is their support page detailing it: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/405/kb405064.html Once you have done that things should be working as normal. ![]() Re: Obscure Pro-tip of the day: Photoshop CS4, OpenGL and multiple video cards - Jem - 04-14-2010 I will likely never need this, but it is nice to know it exists. Thanks for sharing!
