I asked what character, and he said, "the backtick" (also called the 'grave accent'). The character looks like this: ` After a bit of googling, it seems that the iPhone/iPad keyboard doesn't have the ability to input that character, which is odd, because it is ASCII and (actually on every real English keyboard). Is there a pop-up and does it have the accent mark? I couldn't use my regular screen name here because the Phone doesn't have the ® and I couldn't CnP it. Now that the 'Phone has CnP, it's not a problem. Same with the 'Pad.
