Debatable which was the best part, Stew' saying instead of getting the police to break down the door of the guy from Gizmodo's house, they should have just downloaded the app for that, or the prescient observation that Microsoft are supposed to be the bad guys but Gates is off trying to cure malaria and other diseases while Jobs is doing the tyranical Howard Hughes thing, trying to destroy everything that crosses him. Apple are sure the rebels today. Not.
Probably wasn't funny to watch if you believe the sun shines right out of Jobs' a**.

Mixed emotions here. Being I love both Apple products and like stewart.
What control does Apple have over police doing investigation?

I don't remember where I saw it, but I thought there was some link between apple and the enforcement team that did the raid.

Apple sits on REACT's steering committee, according to Yahoo News, and provides REACT and its officers with ", and internal support." Cook points to a purported phone call made by Apple CEO Steve Jobs to Gawker Media chief Nick Denton to demand the purloined iPhone back, and wonders if Apple didn't "sick its high-tech cops on Chen" in reaction to the whole mess.

yeah, I agree.
Jobs has always given me the creeps, mostly when he is doing his schtick on stage during the keynote, playing the ultimate huckster.
Gates just plain gives me the creeps.
