what is that Logitech mouse (small) that people like? - mrbigstuff - 05-19-2010 well, most people on this forum. I'm looking for the "notebook/netbook" version. I have an MX1000 or something and I like that a bunch. as to the portability aspect, do folks think a trackball is better or a device that is stationary given the small desk space often encountered when using a portable? Re: what is that Logitech mouse (small) that people like? - Trouble - 05-19-2010 This is the one I have http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Cordless-Laser-Mouse-Notebooks/dp/B000TKHBDK USB receiver tucks into the mouse when not in use. Re: what is that Logitech mouse (small) that people like? - mattkime - 05-19-2010 I have the one that trouble linked to, its definitely one of the best mice i've used. It's got the teeny tiny USB thingie too, so you don't ever have to take it out of your machine. Jeff Re: what is that Logitech mouse (small) that people like? - timg - 05-19-2010 I have a Logitech VX450 with the nano USB adapter. It works well and is very convenient - never have to remove the USB adapter. One thing to pay attention to - "Optical" mice vs "Laser" mice. I've found the latter to be FAR superior. Re: what is that Logitech mouse (small) that people like? - olnacl - 05-19-2010 I have the Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks and the M$ Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 (I'm not pimping for Amazon, just easy to show the products). Both are nice with the edge to the V470 because you can program the tilt wheel 3 ways - I use it to close the page, page back and page right. The MS mouse can only program the scroll wheel for one task but has a "back" button, so it's got 2/3 the functionality. One caveat on the V470 - I found it to be slightly "jumpy" on my 30" monitor. Playing with acceleration settings, etc did not fix it. Logitech is sending me a new one after a call to the help desk. It did not exhibit that behavior on my smaller monitors - only on the 30." Go figure. Re: what is that Logitech mouse (small) that people like? - kahuna1342 - 05-19-2010 I also have the V470 Bluetooth mouse and would highly recommend it. Re: what is that Logitech mouse (small) that people like? - thermarest - 05-19-2010 Double ditto on the v470. Personally I wouldn't want to permanently give up a usb port to my mouse. Re: what is that Logitech mouse (small) that people like? - RAMd®d - 05-20-2010 Is there any software required for the V450? I'm looking for a wireless mouse and I like the dual battery configuration. Re: what is that Logitech mouse (small) that people like? - datbeme - 05-20-2010 I really like the Microsoft Mobile Mouse 4000 and 6000. Another advantage to these tiny USB receivers is that they are invisible when plugged into the wired chicklet keyboards--and the mouse is only a few inches away. I can see why folks don't want to give up a USB port on the back of the machine, but do you really use both in the keyboard itself? |
