That's a horrible way for an AE-1 to go. But I like it Smile

about a decade ago, someone was working on a digital film roll. The "leader" had a CCD on it, and the cassette body held the flash memory. I think they got to the beta stage before they went under.

It's an AE-1PD, not an AE-1D.

The AE-1 and AE-1P were different cameras. Not that any of that really matters much here I suppose.

Seems like a fairly useless exercise.

yeah, I remember that well.

it would have been the bees knees, if it ever materialized. I'm not sure why some company didn't take up the mantle. with an interchangeable back, which many decent SLRs had, that would have cost a lot of companies some serious bucks.

I'm still waiting for some company to develop reasonable backs for 6x6 and 6x4.5 cameras.

It was an EXF-1 or FX-1, something like that.

I tried to be a beta tester, as I had/had access to A-1, AE1p, Elan IIe, and Nikon F2, F3HP, and N90s.

OK, I have a Canon AE-1 in its original box with several lenses, flash and case tucked away.

So, how do I make it into one of these digital babies?

Send it to me Gene *(:>* I also have a Canon A-1 not A-1 E . I am currently using the lenses on my Canon 20 D.

My brother has the A-1 in a case somewhere at his house in Seattle.

everything is Racer X fault *(:>*

the devil makes me say it *(:>*
