"A MESSAGE TO OUR FANS
As we feel the excitement building for this summer, we wanted to let everyone know that after twenty years of consecutive touring, Dave Matthews Band will be taking 2011 off. We feel lucky that our tours are a part of so many people's lives, and wanted to give everyone as much notice as possible. We're excited to make this summer one of our best tours yet, and look forward to returning to the road in 2012."

Hmm, that means traffic in my neighborhood is gonna be worse in the summer of 2011... Dave lives in my neighborhood.

Are we going to have threads on all the bands that aren't touring this summer? How about bands that aren't going to release an album this summer, or actors who won't be starring in a movie released this summer, or...

I'm assuming that they sent this email out to their fans b/c, and don't quote me on this, maybe they have toured every summer for the past 20 years. Just a thought.

Maybe we should have a thread on reading threads. It should mention like "if you're going to complain about something, make sure you're not just inventing something to complain about."
This isn't a thread about a band that isn't going to tour this summer. If you want to start a thread about a band that is touring this summer, but has announced they wont next year, go for it.
