Due to budget, town's firework display was skipped for two years. The show was back this time around everyone was eager and excited. It was good and it was free. Earlier at a friend's house we had a great time hanging out. Wife could not stop talking about it. Today at our own place, we will have a small cookout.

We worked at the house early and then grilled out. Along about 9pm we started seeing and hearing fireworks. About 10pm we drove a mile to the top of a 1000-foot hill and watched a neighborhood fireworks display in the valley. We slept until 8am this morning and we're about to go for a bike ride before it gets too warm. Very cool.

Didn't see fireworks, but had a great afternoon eating and drinking beer with like-minded computer geeks.

It was a nice day, thanks for asking. Smile

I got up at 6am and ran 6.2 miles with 54,999 other people. Came home and relaxed with the family for the afternoon. Then met friends at Centennial Olympic Park for picnic dinner, a concert by The Smithereens, and fantastic fireworks.

It took about an hour to get home (45 minutes of which were in the parking lot). I'm at work now, but not too busy a day.

Good weather, spent the day with a few thousand other folks watching a classic rock cover band Dog Bite Money and a concert by Paul Rodgers (Bad Company, Free, the Firm) followed by fireworks - all free. 10th Annual Let Freedom Rock Festival

Flying into Chicago, we had the most amazing light show across the country.

The 4th was pretty quiet. This morning was hell. Someone was setting off bombs every 20 to 30 minutes from midnight to 3 am. Even less sleep than my insomnia usually allows me.
