F/U to "Grrr/Help!.... 2007 MBP won't boot"
#11
My AppleCare on my 2007 MBP just expired a day or two ago. I got the cantankerous optical drive replaced at the AppleStore just under the wire. It's been my custom to sell with a few months left on AppleCare, but I didn't feel the need for new just yet.

I'm thinking if it has a major failure from this point out I'll sell it as-is and get a new one. Busted machines go for almost as much as working ones on eBay, and even working a MBP 2007 (that's not loaded with commercial software) only goes for around $600 net after fees.
