SD card slot in 1st gen iPAD?

I am debating between 1 and 2....wifi no 3G but can't find anything about SD card slot in 1st gen

Is 2nd Gen worth the extra price? are photo apps worth it?

you didn't miss it. there isn't one in either gen.

if you need sd card access, i believe you can do it through one of the adapter kits.

2nd gen = twice the processor (dual core) . thats why i'd get it.

Yeah, you need the SD adapter kit that jdc linked to.

FYI: I don't think you can do anything other than import photos using the camera connector kit.
