what should I do with my ibook G4 shell/parts?
#1
Hi Guys,

A couple years ago my ibook G4 died, the screen "connectors" blew (or whatever apple said it was). Anyway, it wasn't worth fixing, but I needed the hard drive and all the info on it. So I just took it apart and pulled the drive. What should I do with the leftover shell and parts? Is there a good way to recycle it?

thanks!

Wait until free Monday and see if anyone needs it?

Call your local trash collection agency and ask how to recycle computers and electronics. They probably have a dropoff day at a nearby dump.

Yeah, lots of G4 iBooks out there - someone here might be able to use some parts. Reuse first, then recycle :-)

Doesn't best buy or office max have a computer dropoff, kind of like the bins for old cell phones?
