putting music/photos/video on ipad from different computer
#1
my mother in law is in town visiting and we want to transfer photos and videos and mp3s of her visit with the kids to her ipad before she goes home. It seems to be a real pain to do this since her computer at her home and not here.

Does anyone know of a way to add mp3s to a playlist in her ipod app or photos to an album and videos to her ipod app from a computer that is not her home syncing one. I think it will erase all her music, photos and videos if we try to sync her ipad with our computer.

I can't be the only one who wants to do this and I can't believe it is this hard. Hopefully I'm missing something easy/obvious.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can send photos via email and save them on the iPad from the emails. And mp3 attachments can be listened to but not saved or added to playlists.

For photos, you can put PhotoSynch on both the computer and the iPad, then they transfer wirelessly if they are both on the same wifi network.

It also works on the iPhone.

I use it all the time.

Sorry, I can't help with the music.

can't do it - an iPad is meant to sync with 1 library, not 2+

IMHO. the difficulty you encounter when trying to add content to the iPad from an unauthorized computer is a major drawback and PITA.

I agree. I think the iPad should be a standalone device. Forget this syncing crap.

That's the funny thing. I'm not even trying to sync libraries! I just want to add 50 photos, a few MP3s and a few videos and have them show up in the appropriate place for her to view/listen/watch them and not some 3rd party app.

Maybe I'm wrong but Apple seems intent on creating a business model that is geared to linking everything to an Apple ID and your credit card.

With iPad Magic, you can transfer photos, videos, music, books, etc. between iPad, iTunes and computer at ease. Moreover, it also enables you to convert audio and video files, rip CD and DVD discs, download online videos, make ringtones and more. Also, it works well on iOS 7 and iTunes 11.
