Google gives a lot of hits but no download links. Is it out yet? I talked a client into switching to Mac, and this would make life easier if it's out there. I have another one to do in a couple days.
Where can I download MigrationAssistantSetup.exe

I believe Apple's genii will transfer data for free if you buy the Mac in a retail store. Not 100% but worth asking.

I did one a few months ago but can't remember whether I needed any additional software. This particular PC app for migration has been discussed at length, but I can't find a download.

The migration from a PC to Lion is fantastic. Fire up migration assistant on th Mac, and it will direct you to the correct link for the PC.

space-time wrote: Apple will transfer your data for you from another Mac or a functioning PC but not for free. It is part of the One-to-One service that it sells for $99 at the time of the purchase of a Mac. In addition to the data transfer, you get a year of in-store training.

from a quick Google:
A developer has noted that Apple supplies a MigrationAssistantSetup.exe program for PC users on its developer site, which acts as a client for the Mac Migration Assistant to pull data from as it performs a migration. So you need to look into the "developer site"....

Ken Sp. - Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! Dunno why that didn't pop up on my Google search. I knew it was "supposed" to be on the developers site, but had no idea how to get it.
