Remember When You Could Navigate Your iTunes Library in 1 Step in the iTunes Search Window?

Now you have to take an extra step and click on the results. How inelegant and annoying. Anyone know if there's a workaround to make it behave like the previous iTunes and just show results containing the term you typed into the window?

Sorry, no solution from me, but I will say I think the latest iTunes is completely buggered from a UI perspective. I can't believe how hard it is to find things now. I wonder if Steve, I mean Tim, even used it before it was released.

Just downloaded it today, since the older version would not recognize my new iPad, and I hate it. The UI is awful.

Unless there is a major change in the current Apple thought process, the best days are behind us.

iTunes, Final Cut, iOS, and ML.. all have become less useful and bloated.

The hardware is still decent but what has happened to their thinking regarding software? UX used to be logical and effective for the most part. You didn't need to read a manual for most things. Now you can't seem to find the simplest things a lot of times.

Yeah, I am not liking the new iTunes at_all. I figured out I could go the View menu and hit Show Sidebar to at least be able to get at all my playlists all the time as before. Play counts are all f'd up now though. I got a new album last week. I've listened to it about 6x. A couple of the songs show zero play count. So much for smart playlists.

I'm not necessarily expecting, just really hoping for a big change once Jony gets his mitts on things. Can't remember where I read about designing the original iPod UI where Steve kept asking the designers to be able to do things in fewer and fewer clicks. Everything from Apple should be as discoverable and obvious as possible right out of the box.

Adobe is following right along in lockstep to this new bad design.

I'd sell your Apple stock now.
