password does not work :(

OK, here is what happened. It's been about 3-4 month since last login, and I forgot that I had an ADMIN account with my name and her account was just a regular user account, no admin rights (so she can't do much damage).

So how did I log in? I tried to start iChat and control her screen, for some reason she was "offline"

I tried to get Skype to do screen sharing, she was unable to find the option. I finally got her to plug in a mouse and after several Right Click /Left Click ballet maneuvers she was able to find the option for screen sharing. Once I saw her screen, it was easier (but still very painful) to giver her directions of where to click. Skype would let me see her screen but I could not control it. I managed to bring her iChat account online, then I started a Screen Sharing and I finally had control of her machine. I went to User Accounts where I noticed she was regular user and I was admin (duh, how could I forget this?) then I was able to control the machine via either iChat or even via LogMeIn.

So all this trouble started since I forgot to use my account at LogMeIn and her regular user account would not allow LogMeIn incoming connections.

Thanks for all suggestions. Nothing was wrong with the password except she didn't have admin rights, I had those

Ah, the joys of being remote tech support for older relatives. I feel your pain, but my almost 88 year old MIL lives a lot closer, about 40 minutes away, so it is easier for me, when things like this happen.
