Sell old iPhone..............

So I am looking for a phone for my 11 year old. He has been using my original iPhone and it is really starting to show its age. I do not want anything with a 5 in its name and he is an "add-a-line" on my wifes t-mobile.

Other than ebay - have you bought a phone with good luck?

Also some threads below mentioned Gazelle and other places that buy old phones........but they don't sell old phones. What to they do with them? Ship them off to 3rd world countries or what?

Want a replacement iPhone that won't break the bank, but is still reasonably functional? Seems like an iPhone 4 could be had fairly cheap as people upgrade to newer phones. Maybe even a 4S.

Check this forum, Amazon, Craigslist, etc.

Cowboom has become crazy-expensive for cell phones over the past year-- not sure what happened there.

Ask here... I have bought several iPhones from forum members at really good prices. Offer to pay a little more than what Gazelle or Amazon pays. The seller gets a bit more than they would have and you save from the markup.

Actually Gazelle does sell iphones. They just do it through ebay. They have their own ebay store.
