I need two Mac Pro RAM heat spreaders... they're the giant heat sinks on Mac Pro RAM. The RAM doesn't even need to work, I just need the heat sinks. PM me if you have any.
Anybody got any Mac Pro RAM they want to sell cheap?

How about a whole Mac Pro 2,1 - original 3.0GHz octocore w/ all eight RAM slots filled w/ working OWC 2GB RAM sticks w/ giant heat sinks, upgraded 1GB Radeon 4870 graphics card, for cheap? Needs some help to run Mavericks, but powerful (power sucking) video card already taken care of. Can't justify the power usage of another tower around here, but it's got lots of giant heat sinks to play around with. PM if you want to horse trade w/ rz... IOW, don't want to part out the overgrown puppy; would rather it go in its entireity to a happy new home, and from there if parts are transplanted, well, so be it.

Cheap Mac Pro RAM on ebay. This is the route I went - buy two old 256MB sticks, remove the heat sinks, thermal glue to new RAM. Nobody wants 256MB or 512MB sticks anymore so it suppresses the price.

1GB Radeon 4870 requires 2 external power cords, and IIRC is also rated for 500W power supply... not sure how much the constant draw is, but the lights in the city dim when it powers up... but I do like the radiator on that Gigabyte model... is it Mac Pro compatible?
