USB boot Mavericks b.u.
#1
new MBA (well refurb) mid '13 13"/8G/256G/i7
comes with Mavs. 10.9.2.
As I've said here before, I will try to step back to ML for the purposes of ProTools and my Waves 8 plugs.

But …….

Mavs does come with Garage Band 10.0.1, Keynote, Pages 5.1, Numbers 3.1, that I would like to have in ML (if those versions are supported). Or don't I care with Office 2008?
Am I correct in that these items could be extracted from a Mavs USB boot with Pacifist or some other?

Just to clarify - Mavericks doesn't come with those apps. If the MBA you bought came with a USB stick for recovery, they may be on there. But if you download Mavericks from the App Store and save the installer to a USB stick, those apps aren't there.

yes, just discovered that, although in theory, they would be available for free if I went back to the Mavericks OS.
