T Mobile iPhone 6+

I was told by Verizon personnel that Verizon would NOT activate an iPhone not purchased from Verizon directly or, a Verizon model purchased through Apple, even though it was technically possible to do so.

I guess with Steve Jobs gone, Verizon feels they can control the the iPhone and phukover customers as much as they want.

I'll get right to the point: the T-Mobile iPhone 6 (and 6 Plus) from Apple (not from a T-Mobile store) works fine on the Verizon network. Just eject the T-Mobile SIM that comes with it, insert your Verizon SIM, and boot. The T-Mobile iPhone from Apple appears to be entirely global, and fully carrier-unlocked, which makes it the best choice for those of us who like to buy phones outside of contracts.

As rgG mentions, you probably can't activate the T-Mobile SIM included with the phone on VZ. But if you can get a VZ SIM activated on any other phone, you can simply swap it into your new T-Mobile 6 Plus.

Hopefully Verizon participates with the new Apple SIM by next years iPhone Launch.

So, is there any way to get a Verizon SIM card if I don't have one? The old verizon phone on the unlimited plan is a 4 with no sim..

You might be able to go to the Verizon store and tell them you are getting a new phone from eBay and you will need a new SIM for it, so you can activate it, when it arrives.

You will still need to borrow a Verizon LTE 4G phone, with the same size SIM, to activate the SIM, as the TMobile iPhone won't work to activate, but should work once you pop the activated SIM in.

You might also be able to order a SIM from Amazon or eBay, but Verizon should give you one.
