Anticipating the holidays: best time to get a free Amazon Prime trial?
#1
30-day free Amazon Prime trial
https://www.amazon.com/gp/prime/pipeline/signup

I don't pay for the $100/yr. membership, and don't intend to at this time - don't use it enough.

What would you savvy shoppers say is a good date to start one up?

I'm thinking at the start of the sale period leading up to ____mas. Wink
Thanksgiving week?

Shame on you !!
It's Harvest Holiday, Harvest Holiday Week and Harvest Dinner.

But shortly before Harvest Holiday would seem to make the most fiscally conservative sense.

If you are only interested in the free 2-day shipping, you do know that Amazon Prime can be shared, right? It'll work for an indefinite period of time. Do you have any personal friends and/or family with Prime?

Different address, different name, different payment methods, no problem.

We paid the old Prime price for one year and don't really think it was worth it for us.

Can a former Prime member get the free trial?

I don't have an answer to your question, but I like what you did there! (tu)

Apparently not. I had a trial back in 2008 and then was a Prime subscriber until early 2014. Logged into my account and saw the Fire Stick deal and language telling me to try Prime for 30 days in order to get the deal price. No problem I thought and then pending charges for $100 ($99+$1 for some reason) immediately showed up on my card. I canceled and decided not to order the Fire Stick,
