Indeed they do need to re-certify. They get 300 fully trained employees to calmly stand and exit the plane in a well lit, smoke free cabin. Thereby meeting the requirement.

I can't imagine a larger man having to squeeze into an even smaller space.

It's an effort to reduce Mile-High memberships.

I've got mileage on United through their Chase card. I'm going to use it for a trip to the UK this fall and then dump them. United used to be a great airline but has sunk to the bottom. I try to fly Southwest for most of my flights, but of course, they don't go everywhere.
