I was wondering the same thing. I know MP has been sold several times in the past few years, and I would like to know if the quality stayed the same after each acquisition or if the new owners tried to cut costs to save money. I think they had good stuff when they started out with cables and adapters, but then they expanded a lot: they make monitors, speakers, stereos, etc. I wonder if they were able to maintain their quality during this massive growth.

Space- they are a reseller of cheap Chinese stuff. No manufacturing takes place.

Not real world, but interactions with LA manufacturers; I use custom made amplifier and monitors from my days in audio post. The guys who made them worked custom installs for studio:bauton at the time. What I gleaned from them is that all is in the circuit design, that it is not hard to design solid state that sounds like a good tube, not sure about vice versa. In regard to integrated tube, I have heard the same thing, the circuit design can be fantastic and sound amazing, or be a POS. I'm not an EE, so the nuances of the design are beyond me.

The right tube in the right setup can sound magical. Just be sure you have appropriate speakers for them (quite sensitive, and with an impedance listed as compatible in the specs of the amp), and some way to vent the heat they produce.

Using a HealthKit integrated tube amp to drive a pair of 3-ohm Apogees is just silliness, and doomed to failure (don't ask).

I have a couple of their all tube guitar amps. Can't be beat for the price. You literally can't buy the parts for a DIY of the same circuits for what they're charging (especially when on sale) for the complete amps.

I tried the 25 watt version of the stereo amp, it didn't have enough umph to drive my speakers but sounded good. Willing to give its big brother a test run.
