Speakers with remote volume control
#1
I need a decent pair of speakers to hook up to my Sirius home dock that I use in my office. The kicker is, I'd like a pair that I can control the volume remotely. I don't need anything more sophisticated than a pair of speakers. Anyone have any recommendations?

I asked for this last year. I'd like to know, too.

Most powered speakers have a wired remote.

If you want a wireless one, the choices are probably close to nil and the prices high.
The good news is, there are lots of small "shelf systems," boom boxes, and clock radios in the $100 - $250 range that will have wireless remotes. These should be adequate for an office environment.

I have an older version of this one http://www.jr.com/JRProductPage.process?Product=4107017 in my bedroom, and a small Panasonic DVD shelf system in my office. The former sounds like crap, but I rarely play music on it. The latter sounds pretty decent at low volumes in my office.

Don't slam me but I have set on my sons gaming TV from Walmart. Durabrand, a 2.1
system that was about $25 with a remote. Sounds great for the money, certainly blows
away most any internal TV speaker. It has RCA and mini jack inputs.
It looks similar to this but it's 2.1.

I have a pair of Creative Speakers that have a remote volume control.

They're three or four years old. A "2.1" system, the remote is on a separate cable. It came with a self-adhesive pad, but I've never used that.
