NO LONGER NEEDED: mom-friendly point and shoot camera
#1
Inexpensive and not too delicate, with some amount of zoom... user friendly is important. An older Canon like mine should work well...

Y'know, I have a box with some old point-and-shoot digital cameras somewhere in our equipment locker (closet/cabinet). I'll take a look and see what I can see soon as I can.

That'd be great. Something like my Canon IS1100 or even lower end would be excellent.

How low are you willing to go for this mom person?
Is a Canon A60 too low? A70? A80? A 2001 vintage Vivitar ViviCam?

I'm thinking at least 8 megapixels and some optical zoom... so probably not that low.

I have a like new Panasonic Lumix ZS19 14.1 MP High Sensitivity MOS Digital Camera with 20x Optical Zoom (Black) with everything that came with it originally...in original box. Plus 16G SD and 2 batteries. $100 post paid.
