Saw an interesting use of Facetime today.
#1
When I was leaving a store today I saw a man outside the store in a corner where he could prop his phone up, and he was having a Facetime call with someone.

It then became apparent that he was conversing in sign language, which struck me as a great use of the technology, and probably wasn't even thought of when Facetime was being created.

I don't know if it was him or the person on the other end then had the impairment, but I was happy to see the technology being put to use to allow the two of them to communicate.

When I was working on the lights in my kitchen I put my daughters ipad faceup on a stool in the middle of the kitchen and opened FaceTime. Then I went to the breaker closet and connected to the iPad with my phone so I could see which breakers turned off the lights.

I think I once read that facetime was approved by some signing organization.

I do this all the time. Also if I want to check if kids dropped something in the sub-woofer, I was able to stick the iPhone in there and watched on the iPad.
