HELP please, macOS 'Default Browser' not working systemwide
#1
In Sierra I have the 'Default Browser' (System Prefs) set to Firefox and the search engine is
DuckDuckGo. Except when I use the contextual menu in apps like Preview,
Dictionary, TextEdit, etc. to Search with DuckDuckGo e.g.

Safari launches to do the search. WTF?? :banghead:
I've searched & searched the interwebs but cannot find a fix.
Any ideas, voodoo chants, etc. are appreciated.

thxs but OMC is a no go in Sierra:
Apple removed native support for contextual menu plug-ins in Mac OS 10.6 in
64 bit mode and replaced it with services items.
.

Going to see if Onyx or TinkerTool can help.

"You should be able to make a Service in Automator that performs similar functions."

Apparently hard coded into macOS, Apple is forcing you to use Safari for these
searches regardless of what is set in System Prefs. I guess they'll call it a 'bug'
and not intentional if they're ever called out on it?
