iOS and Gmail (Mail): borked
#1
A few days ago Google decided to boot some people off its network. I say this because 2 of us here lost access on all devices.

Got the Macs going again by re-entering the password. Same password. All security OK, no suspicious activity.

No luck on an iPhone (for Mail). You can get the email account entered but the Next button does nothing even though it's the same basic Safari interface iOS and macOS use for authentication. No problems accessing Gmail via Safari.

I think it may be time to just download the Gmail app and forget Mail if it can't get the basics of signing on correct.

Try going online to Gmail and forwarding it to Apple Mail. See how that works for a while.

No sure I follow. Mail has already been setup to get it directly for years. Currently the imap settings are apparently screwed up or out of sync with no opportunity to edit them nor enter the password.
