Common stemware in a dishwasher - ok. Crystal stemware - no.

When I worked as a dishwasher years ago in a restaurant setting, we washed all kind of stemware in the dishwashers. Nothing wrong with doing that, just have to have support for the stems.

You do want to take some care on what else is being washed at the same time. Grit and other food particle can slowly scratch the glass surface.
Our dishwasher etches the glassware.
We’ve told you so many times, keep your sandblaster in the garage, not the kitchen.
