Blackbirds have taken over the bird feeders

Probably starlings. Isn't that the most common blackbird. They're smaller than starlings and built differently. These are the ones that fly in big flocks.
Starlings are black with narrow beaks and speckled bellies, and sometimes their whole bodies are speckled. They have distinctively shiny feathers if you can get close enough to see.

They swarm my feeder several times each day.

They fly in big flocks and their droppings are often dense enough to completely encompass some poor sucker's car.

In North America they are an invasive species that are outcompeting native birds.

Birds have been eating the dry Cat Food that I put out for my neighborhood strays.

Had to switch to feeding the cats in the evening or at night.
