I just picked up a salad from my fav cafe - it was MOBBED!

I've only supported two restaurants throughout the pandemic - the two I most wanted to survive. Both did.

The cafe has been doing wonderful service - all proper throughout. Only raised prices a tiny bit for meat products and kept a good % of staff employed. Safe distancing, masks everywhere.

But tonight, all the outdoor dining was packed - the few tables inside were full. LOTS of togo people (like me) milling about. Must have been the busiest Tuesday night in over a year. It took 2x as long as usual to get my salad made.

Watch the hospitalization numbers in your area. If they start climbing, it might be time to back off on the dining out for a while again. Hopefully it will be safe; it sounds really nice.

Numbers are really good right now, but I still have no urge to eat out. I probably won't until all restrictions are lifted

We recently started dining out indoors. Still no desire though to go to a buffet.

We tried a inhouse at a local pancake house, didn't work out to the extent that after being tabled and ordering we just had it put up as take out. Paying sit down prices for take out food - that was us.

We've done some takeout but that's it. We haven't done a sit down restaurant in over a year. Have no plans to anyway soon. We're still have the second vaccine shot to go, I think next week.

We did one sit-down when meeting a friend on the road recently, but it was 4 in the afternoon, the place was all but empty.

All buffets, food tables, etc have been banned here. I don't see them coming back for a while.
