Honestly, not a fan of that "trill". It turns me off of Dolly Parton as well.

GREAT song! A true classic.

I'm not a fan of that rendition, however. I've heard several earlier recordings and Grayson's version is stylistically similar going back to the time of the first recording in 1933. Maybe that was the popular, accepted way to sing. Just not my cup of tea.

I like The Platters' version.

Blew my socks off! I was expecting the whisper talk singing popular nowadays. OBVIOUSLY she started smoking as a baby and is a fan of both Billie Holliday and Lotte Lenya!
