AppleCard Fraud Alert
#1
Woke up this moment to an alert on my phone. Opened up my wallet and hit decline.

I have not used my physical card in a month, so I wonder how this happened.

Now I need to order a new card and I suppose scratch Sri Lanka off my bucket list!

Contact Support and they will issue a new number to your card; it will take maybe 10 minutes. Remember to change any recurring authorized charges to the new number (don’t ask how I know this :facepalmSmile

Edit: I had a similar issue. The best I can figure is that the actual number either was guessed or was part of a breach. The good thing is that I didn’t have to wait 10 working days to get a “new” card.

You can also use the Wallet app to lock your card in the mean time.

And.... CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS.

Short of a breach at Goldman, I think I'm secure from compromised account details so long as I'm using the card only with Apple Pay from the Wallet app.
