Yep. Personal preference. I originally felt the same way about broadcasting that you have a smart lock, but then I came to accept that getting hacked is less likely than someone breaking in with brute force or coming in through a window. I actually still don't have one on my front door (probably for aesthetic reasons), so if they see the one on the back door, they are already where they aren't supposed to be.
Don't forget advantages such as not having loaner keys floating around, the ability to assign and rescind unique codes to different individuals, and the ability to view a log or receive notifications of who unlocked the door and when.
We've only had this one a few months, and we've barely used the smart features, but it's been great.
