going to drive in to do a day in DC at Smithsonians on Monday. Coming in on 66 from the west. Had originally planned to park at Vienna and metro in, but the Vienna station is closed for another week or so for construction. Dunn Loring is also closed. So looking at West Falls Church. Never been to that station. What do you think the possibility is of finding parking there around 9-9:30 on a Monday morning? Looks like about 2000 spots, if I'm reading the specs correctly.
Really not too interested in driving all the way in, but would do it if required. The kids are also excited about riding the metro, so....
Any tips?

I know someone that lives in the area you are describing. I will ask them what the parking options are.

I am told there is a high school nearby the East Falls Church Metro stop that has unrestricted parking at 38.894232, -77.158484
It is an area that contains a park and two schools. Parking opens up and is rarely full. Both schools are not in session and the park isn't something used for huge events.
There are some unrestricted spots on the south side of Langston Blvd that are closer but not always available 38.889945, -77.157178

thanks, pRICE cUBE! Sounds like there are some good options available at East Falls Church. Onward!
anonymouse1, I had found that article as well. If it is true about the underuse, it might be worth us stopping there first to see if we can find a spot.
yes, we're planning to go tomorrow. Weather looks decent, but will be glad for AC in the museums :-)
thanks, all!

A meal at the American Indian Museum is probably the best bet of the bunch. Have fun.
