DVD burner question

I was looking on NewEgg for a DVD burner to put in an external Sony Firewire enclosure. Some list system requirements, others don't. The ones that do almost always state Windows 98-XP or Vista. I was under the impression that a DVD burner is a DVD burner & all will work on a Mac.

Should this work connected to a Mac mini?

Well, mine seem to work on both. I have 4 both Sony and Pioneer and have used all on a PC and a Mac. I have only installed software drives on a couple of PCs and none on the macs.

Most if not all DVDRW Drives work with Macs.
I would go with NEC or Pioneer. I have both and both have been great.
