Oklahoma official with white nationalist ties is ousted in recall vote

And all it took was six weeks of headlines pointing out that he was a white nationalist whose campaign was funded by neo-Nazis.

It wasn’t even close. Only about 40% of the Oklahoma voters wanted this Neonotzee as their representative.

This is the most heartening story I’ve read in quite some time. America hasn’t yet completely lost its soul.

I agree. If you read enough about it, it wasn't as simple as one would think. Very interesting, and I think people did a lot of very good things in the whole process.

"Only" about 40% ???? I would hope that it would be closer to 0%.

You really have to read more about the whole thing to understand why it was still so high a percentage. I don't think most of those people believed he was currently (or ever) a neonaughtsy. I believe there was an African American politician who believed he was a changed man, or something like that.

Did you actually read anything more about it? While I think he likely still is a bad dude, the way at least most of the people approached the whole thing was pretty encouraging to me, on the whole.
