My first ever bunny rabbit!
#1
I was out watering and such earlier and something surprised me as I was stepping out the door (I usually wait a second for this reason- have skunks, possum, cats, Norway and Roof rats, Raccoons, etc.) It was rat-sized but didn't quite move like a rat. My quick impression was a baby bunny. Checked security video and it is! I've been in this home for 23 years and have never once seen a rabbit around here.

Well, that's interesting.... the ole' FB trick of bouncing a post and then deleting the comment doesn't work in MyBB- deleting the comment unbounces the discussion.

rabbits have taken over as nearly as common as squirrels here. they have also chewed the bark of three fruit trees and a red oak I planted - all now dead. they are cute, I guess. they also forced out the local groundhogs who were very interesting to watch.

the most odd thing was seeing bunnies in the downtown area, out on a section of the city that is all hardscape and next to the harbor; i'm really not sure how they migrated out there.

I liked when they made a comeback in my area but only for a short while. They multiply like crazy and destroyed flowerbeds and gardens. Then the fox and hawks came back. Many fewer rabbits now.
