USA says yes to Virgin and someone impregnates a Boeing 747

That is not a Dreamlifter. Prop engines. Cool plane though, Dreamlifter is a modified 747 with four jet engines. Truly amazing what these planes and the C5 can haul around.

C-5, been around for forty years.

I guess beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder. Both Airbus and Boeing have strengths and weaknesses in regard to their designs. The Airbus's appear to have better aerodynamics (and therefore seems more beautiful to me, the Beluga included...at least relative to the Dreamlifter).

And like 'Mint hinted at, there's not much difference in regard to the 'subsidation' between Boeing and Airbus anymore. In fact, it wasn't until Boeing recently outsourced a lot of their work, that they were able to turn the tide against Airbus. As soon as Airbus does the same, most likely the tide will turn again.

Airbus will never outsource because it was it would cause such outrage in Europe. It was partly developed to provide jobs for the subsidizing countries. I am elated when Boeing gets a commercial contract instead of Airbust.

Heheh, so much I can't say on this.

Anyway, as far as design goes, mint has it right that the boeing plane is just a old 747 that's been enlarged.
