Anyone ever used these folks?
I've been trying to set up a 466 clamshell and doubt if I waste anymore time or money on it.
Won't charge or discharge new battery (Battery charge board and/or DC in board). Runs fine otherwise. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with them.

No experience with them but have similar problem. My G3 500mhz 1st gen Snowbook will not recognize battery. Will not charge or run off battery. If I take battery out and put back in for a while charging light will come on on power plug and charge battery. Only for a little while, ten, fifteen minutes. With this procedure I can charge battery up painstakingly and operate off battery sometimes. I have screwed with this so much it is sickening.
Apple geniuses say it is power manager attached to motherboard. $390 to replace. Not worth it. May stop you from spending money if these symptoms are what you have. Lemme know.

I've had the same issue with a 'new' clamshell battery. Of course it was an aftermarket unit, whose only identifying marks was a nice little "Made in China" sticker. And yet the clamshell would charge an actual old(er) Apple battery that will give perhaps 30 minutes of life. There's supposed to be some sort of PMU reset trick that you play with the batteries.. I think OWC has it documented somewhere.

Well, here's what I found on the battery reset:

If it is simply a charging problem maybe you could save some bucks and get one of these:

It may be a piece of dookie also but for $20 it might solve your issues.
I might try the surgery but I think I will just run the little bugger off AC or part it out eventually.
Good luck on the reset. Positive waves.

I bought a key cap from them, but that's all my experience.
If you decide to part it out, let me know. I have a working 466 with the backlight out. Can still read the screen but pretty hard on the eyes. Maybe we ccan make one of two.
I had battery charging issues with this one when I got it (free from a co-worker because he couldn't charge the battery) and dug through just about everything I could find on the internet. One of the suggested fixes worked but I don't remember which one. Now, 2 years later, the backlight goes out. Good ride while it lasted.
