MS Just Changed My Office 2008 Ship Date

Just called M$ to confirm my orders. They said they are shipping as they get them and the March 3 date is just a "filler." Most likely they will ship out before then.

As if Office 2004 stopped working on the promised Office 2008 ship date. Give me a break.

As for me, I'm in no hurry. Based on the number of times Entourage "normally" crashes in a day, I'm waiting to hear what you guys think of the new version. I figure it's going to have a number of revisions before it's ready for prime time.

I still miss the simplicity of using ACT for Mac that got me started on organizing my life back in the early '90s. With a few minor enhancements, that app would be tons better than any other PIM that I've ever seen, including newer versions of ACT for PCs.

Oh well, sigh!

But, as I always say, "that's just my opinion, I could be wrong."

last email (a week ago) shows ship date of 2/4/2008, which itself was an "update"... whatever that really means in M$ speak. rebate showed up a couple of days after product status email, so all appears on track. if curiosity kicks in, may go to local store to demo new office, but can't imagine anything life changing w/ new version... M$ just seems to like yanking peoples' chains...

All I can get is "order submitted".

I guess they haven't processed the mail in stuff yet. I just mailed the boxtop and invoice last week but had placed the order (on line) on Dec 5.

I hope I haven't screwed up my getting it.
