Interesting OS X Trojan DNS changer
#1
Found this via Macintouch http://www.macintouch.com/readerreports/...d14may2008. I don't think this is new, but nevertheless a sign of things to come.

As the F-secure site states, this is a social engineering trojan, fooling people into installing it on a false premise.

Removal tool (haven't tried it):

Wow, is that for real?? Pretty scary, as I can imagine thousands of people falling prey to that sort of thing...

Real and incredibly common for Windows machines as well. Since most 'infected' sites are serving up pr0n, think of it as a social disease.

Yeah, is there any way that any O.S. can really be immune to this type of thing?

I'm thinking not.

The weakest link in any computer model is the part between the chair and the keyboard...

Unlike on Windows, where it installs in the background without your password needed.
