Mini+Linux+AEBS (flying saucer model) = No Internet connection?
#1
I bought a refurb, white, 1GB/16GB with Ubuntu. I want to first try using it with Ubuntu but it won't connect to the Internet. It sees my network and those of lots of my neighbors. I'm using WEP. What might I be doing wrong? What should I try next? Thanks.

Mine took a few restarts before it would recognize my network but has been fine ever since.

same setup here, no problems. There is a control panel for networks where you have to type in your WEP password.

It recognizes several networks. I selected mine, I enter my WEP password, in its Hex equivalent given to me by Airport Admin Utility. In entering that value I've tried most, if not all combinations of WEP 128-bit Pass phrase, 64/128-bit Hex and 64/128-bit ASCII with open system and shared system. ( I really don't understand the meaning of most of those selections.) But no success so far. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

After the latest restart, it connected. Will it connect the next time?
