Favorite trade show? SIGGRAPH / NAB / Adobe MAX / Macworld
#1
I would guess the results will be biased towards MacWorld, but since Apple is no longer in attendance maybe not.

Any opinions on which industry conferences are best? I have been to SIGGRAPH and MacWorld once, but not in a couple years.

Areas of interest would be video capture, editing, motion graphics, animation, sound recording, all on Apple hardware. We use Final Cut Studio and Adobe CS4 Master Suite. It would be really cool if Apple released the next version of FCS at some trade show...

I voted Macworld, but that may well no longer really exists as it once was. It's hard to know what "Macworld" will be like from now on. It could go in any direction based on a number of factors like what vendors stick with it vs. CES or no tradeshow presence at all, crowd size, and how well IDG fills the gap left by Apple.

I've been to NAB once. It was pretty good, but it didn't have a real 'can't wait for next year' appeal. I've never been to Adobe MAX. Somehow a show built around one software vendor doesn't work for me. Maybe there's too many other venues for similar types of information for that to appeal to me enough.

The show I miss is Seybold but that was one of the early shows to bite the dust.
