Kudo's to SPRINT... (Yes, that is correct).

Called this morning to ask about my minutes used (which seems lower than normal). While I was on the phone I asked if I could turn roming on for a couple of weeks seeing I'll be on vacation for a few days. I get a response "Seeing you've been a customer since 2002 I'll give you free nationwide roming in your plan".

+1 for Sprint!!!

Figured I'd give them some positives seeing people like to rip them. Still locked in my 1000 shared anytime minutes and nights and weekends starting at 7:00 PM for $79ish a month... They don't have a plan like this any longer.

How is the Palm Pre? Any good? I'm starting to want a smart phone.

I would have thought the concept of roaming was dead a while back.
But I don't move from my man cave much. So, no roaming testing possible.

for $79/month they bloody well better give you nationwide roaming.

they're doing awfully well if you consider it a deal.

Yeah, all sprint plans have this now. It's nice that they just upgraded you without making you sign a new contract or anything, however.

For $79/month I get 1000 min with rollover/unlimited data/200 text messages from AT&T on my iPhone. The notion of paying EXTRA for text messages makes me want to vomit, but I do find it to be useful.

I don't like the idea of "PAYING" to receive Text Messages... Bullshit seeing they are double dipping. I BLOCKED all Text Messages!

If you get a Pre you will almost certainly have to get a new contract. Take the opportunity to negotiate.

I'm currently paying about $60/month for 950 anytime minutes, unlimited nights/weekends, unlimited Vision and PAM data (Phone As Modem), and it probably goes without saying that includes long distance and roaming.

We are on a "SHARED" plan... Works good... But, I'll see about renegotiating.

I got a VirginMobile phone for my Mom and it has unlimited minutes and roaming for 50 dollars - hope Sprint can match that.
