Experience with wall mounting of flat TV

Just thought I would mention that it must be securely mounted to the stud framing and not the dry wall or paneling. That puppy weighs about 75 pounds.

It's easy, just be patient with your level, get the positioning right, and make sure you line up the bolt holes in center of the studs.

Instead of routing wires through the walls, I bought a couple of these, trimmed them to the proper size, then painted them the same color as the wall and floor moulding, then ran all the wiring through them. Next to invisible:

That's how my firm does it at the schools where we install cabling (we use metallic raceway, though).

Data and electrical (AKA low voltage and high voltage cabling) may run in the same channel, assuming there is a metallic divider separating the two types of cables. Raceway with a metallic divider is available and can be used for surface mount applications. Surface-mount raceway is not permitted for use behind walls; separate EMT or flex conduits would be used for such an application.
